Producing more primary care physicians for California's underserved and vulnerable populations

Immigrant doctors trained to help bridge major gaps in care

No one would argue that the United States has a significant shortage of primary care physicians, or that California's shortage is extreme. A program at UCLA aims to help ease that shortage by helping physician-trained legal immigrants -- that is, those who have already graduated from a medical school outside of the U.S, Puerto Rico or Canada – pass their U.S. licensing exams and obtain U.S. residency training in Family Medicine.

Congratulations!

We are pleased to announce our 2025 Matched UCLA IMGs.
