Biography
I started my research career at Stein Eye in 1983 and have studied photoreceptor/RPE interactions mediated by protein S/Gas6 and MFG-E8. I am also interested in modeling the development of metastatic potentiation of uveal melanomas through the production of human tumor-derived cell lines from primary and metastatic lesions. I joined the Williams Lab in 2012 to study human stem cell-derived RPE disease models. I retired as Lab Manager for the lab’s active research program in 2023. I'm currently on active recall and assist with research support for the Photoreceptor/RPE Cell Biology Laboratory.
