Application Process
Thank you for your interest in the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program at UCLA.
Our program information is as follows:

Six fellowship positions are available per year.
We will be accepting applications for the 2027 – 2028 academic year beginning November 2025.
We do participate in the National Resident Matching Program.
Application Submission Period: November through March
Interviews: March through April
Interviews are by invitation only. Your file will not be reviewed until it is complete.
The expected start date for the Fellowship is August 1st.
Prior to appointment in the program, all fellows must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency and must possess a valid California medical license.
Application File Requirements
Please submit the following through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
- Completed Fellowship Application including all required supporting application materials.
- Three letters of recommendation by physicians who are familiar with you professionally and personally (one must be from your Residency Program Director).
Please submit the following to [email protected].
- In-Training Examination Score Reports during residency
- ABA Basic Examination Results Letter
- Copy of DEA License (if practicing
Please be aware that all candidates who are selected for the program must clear a security background check.
