Dr. Mingxia Gu Co-Leads Microgravity Lung Aging Study

Co-Principal Investigator, Mingxia Gu, MD, PhD, has been awarded a UG3/UH3 collaborative research grant in partnership with Principal Investigator, Y. Shrike Zhang, PhD, at Harvard Medical School, to support the project titled “An Aging Alveolar Lung Model in Microgravity.” This five-year collaboration provides $100K per year to UCLA and brings together complementary expertise in regenerative medicine and bioengineering.
