About
Dr. Ying Luu is a general nephrologist who practices in the downtown LA office. Her clinical interests include hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and diabetes. She prefers to spend time with her patients focusing on nutrition and preventive care.
Dr. Luu received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Stony Brook University Hospital at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital and completed her Nephrology fellowship at UCLA. She earlier earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UCLA and her Masters of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University.
Dr. Luu was raised in Southern California. When she’s not working, she enjoys long-distance running and other outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping, as well as gardening and traveling.
