Dr. William K. Winter is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with the Department of Medicine. He primarily cares for patients hospitalized at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the Tufts University School of Medicine in 2017. He completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UC San Diego. He joined the faculty of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 2020.
Holding the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, he is actively involved with the clinical training of medical students, interns, and residents.
Within the organization, her serves as a member of the UCLA Health Physician Wellbeing Committee and the UCLA Rapid Morbidity Review Committee (peer-review).
He also currently serves as an Expert Consultant for the Medical Board of California.
His major clinical interests include quality improvement, academic hospital medicine, and value-based care.
