Vivek Kommineni, DPM

Dr. Vivek Kommineni is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon. His focus is limb preservation — helping people with diabetes, poor circulation and hard-to-heal wounds stay active and keep their feet.

He treats common foot problems such as bunions, heel pain and ingrown toenails. He also cares for foot ulcers, infections and injuries from accidents or falls. When needed, he performs surgery, from bunion correction to fracture repair and limb salvage.

Dr. Kommineni takes time to understand each patient's health, goals and daily life. Together, they choose the right care — from advanced wound care to minimally invasive procedures or surgery.

He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He trained at UCLA, where he served as chief resident. Today, he teaches residents and students as a faculty member in the UCLA Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency. He also reviews research for The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, spending time with family and traveling.
