About
Dr. Veronica Ramirez is a hospitalist and clinical lead for the UCLA Downtown Hospitalist Cohort (serving Barlow Respiratory Hospital and Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital). She is board certified in internal medicine, and she is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys treating acute complex medical problems, advocating for the health of her patients, and coordinating care with other providers in the inpatient setting. Dr. Ramirez received her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She completed her internship and residency training in internal medicine at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
Dr. Ramirez enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. In addition to her own direct patient care, she serves as a supervising attending physician on the inpatient medicine wards for the internal medicine residency program at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. She is also the co-faculty advisor for the First-Gen student organization at DGSOM. In addition to her clinical and teaching duties, Dr. Ramirez is a member of the American College of Physicians and the National Hispanic Medical Association.
