Tommaso Tosini, MD

Dr. Tommaso Tosini is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine, and he practices primary care in Montecito. With a diverse background in both clinical medicine and global public health, Dr. Tosini is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to his patients, focusing on wellness, prevention, and addressing the complex needs of individuals with addiction.

Dr. Tosini earned his MD degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed his residency in Family Medicine at Ventura County Medical Center, followed by fellowship programs in Global Health and Addiction Medicine. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, cum laude, from the University of Georgia.

Before joining UCLA Health, Dr. Tosini gained extensive experience in both domestic and international healthcare settings. He worked internationally providing disaster response aid in Oviedo, Spain, and delivering full-spectrum family medicine care in rural Guatemala. Dr. Tosini’s career has also included roles as a Hospitalist and clinical faculty member at Ventura County Medical Center/Santa Paula Hospital, as well as an Urgentologist with Kaiser Permanente. Most recently, he worked in private practice in Santa Barbara before deciding to join UCLA Health.

Born in Florence, Italy, Dr. Tosini was mostly raised under the shade of Virginia magnolias and Georgia pines. He now enjoys the sunny California lifestyle with his fiancée and growing family. When he's not working, Dr. Tosini enjoys playing soccer and is a devoted supporter of ACF Fiorentina.
