This has been a difficult year for me. I guess I had a lot to say. The appointment was only 15 minutes, and I understand that it was focused on one thing however I’m a person with a lot going on. I felt a little hurt by one curt response. It was unexpected.

I visited for a surgical consult to establish a first-time provider consult with my new Primary Care Provider, Dr. Kapadia. During my visit, she thoroughly reviewed my past medical history for surgery clearance and noticed I needed additional exams, including Ultrasound and CBC blood work previously needed to be completed. Dr. Kapadia's foresight prevented the potential of rescheduling my surgery due to the missing critical exams. She quickly scheduled my exam appointments within the UCLA healthcare system at 9:30 AM. The UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital (Ultrasound) and UCLA 100 Medical Plaza (Blood Work) staff members helped ensure that the results of the exams were completed by 2:00 PM. At approximately 4:30 that same day, Dr. Kapadia recommended proceeding with the proposed surgical procedure. Dr. Kapadia has made a lasting impression on my future health care, and I look forward to seeing her again in 3 months for a follow-up primary care consult.
