Dr. Surina Kajani is a board-certified, primary care physician practicing at UCLA Health in Porter Ranch. She believes the key to a successful doctor patient relationship is through patient empowerment and education. She prides herself on exhibiting compassion, empathy, and understanding, all while providing the most up to date, evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Kajani started her education at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where she was selected to be part of an accelerated BS/MS program, receiving both an undergraduate (BS) and masters (MS) degree in Biology in 4 years. She followed her passion for medicine and obtained her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Adventist Health-White Memorial, an affiliate of Loma Linda School of Medicine.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Kajani loves spending time with her family, teaching medical students from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, cooking, hiking and dancing.
She is fluent in Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu.

Excellent doctor with profound empathy & care. I had a situation & made an appointment through the App. I also shared my question online either Dr Kajani. Within hours, she made time available the following day (yesterday( to see me. And she gave me all time I needed to explain the situation & my fears. She listened to me with patience as her usual, and treated me with gentle care . Dr Kajani is truly an exceptional doctor and ICLA Health should be proud to have such a premier asset representing its distinguished medical staff.
