About
Dr. Sophie Mestman Cannon (she/her) is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid, pituitary, reproductive, and adrenal disorders. She has a special interest in gender-affirming care.
Dr. Cannon received her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency training at the University of California, San Diego. She returned to her home town of Los Angeles to complete her endocrinology fellowship at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center before joining the faculty at UCLA. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, camping, hiking, yoga, visiting museums, and travel.
