Dr. Shiv Patel is a primary care physician at UCLA Health. He is originally from outside of Atlanta, GA and completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Georgia prior to earning his medical degree from The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Prisma Health in Greenville, SC prior to moving to California to join UCLA. Dr. Patel's clinical interests include preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine and LGBTQ health. For fun, he enjoys exploring his new home state of California with his wife, cheering on Georgia sports teams and cooking plant-based meals.

The Doctor was highly receptive and listened to all my concerns. Very helpful in providing me with an understanding on how to achieve all my goals concerning my health. I found him to be personable and supportive and it was one of the best interactions I have ever had with a primary doctor.

Dr. Patel is hands down the BEST doctor I’ve ever experienced in my long search for a GP! I never feel rushed. I feel heard. He answered all questions thoroughly & thoughtfully. I had a good experience during my recent visit. Everyone (from the front desk staff to the nurse and Dr. Patel) was prompt and efficient in their roles, and I was seen right on time, which made the whole visit smooth and stress-free. The front desk team was warm, welcoming, and professional. The nurse who administered my pneumonia vaccine did so with impressive precision-fast, pain-free, and handled with care. Dr. Patel was exceptional. He was very attentive, easy to talk to, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the appointment. His professionalism and genuine care truly stood out. Overall, the entire team delivered a friendly, timely, and reassuring experience. Highly recommend!
