Dr. Shiv Patel is a primary care physician at UCLA Health. He is originally from outside of Atlanta, GA and completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Georgia prior to earning his medical degree from The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Prisma Health in Greenville, SC prior to moving to California to join UCLA. Dr. Patel's clinical interests include preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine and LGBTQ health. For fun, he enjoys exploring his new home state of California with his wife, cheering on Georgia sports teams and cooking plant-based meals.

I had a good experience during my recent visit. Everyone (from the front desk staff to the nurse and Dr. Patel) was prompt and efficient in their roles, and I was seen right on time, which made the whole visit smooth and stress-free. The front desk team was warm, welcoming, and professional. The nurse who administered my pneumonia vaccine did so with impressive precision-fast, pain-free, and handled with care. Dr. Patel was exceptional. He was very attentive, easy to talk to, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the appointment. His professionalism and genuine care truly stood out. Overall, the entire team delivered a friendly, timely, and reassuring experience. Highly recommend!

I appreciate it that I was seen despite being a little late due to the efforts made to get to the appointment timely on broken foot and also sprained foot as well. I arrived on time, was checked in and did not wait more than five minutes before I was taken in to be weighed and for my vital signs to be checked. Two minutes later, Dr. Patel came into my room and proceeded to ask me questions about my condition / symptoms, thoroughly examined me by listened to my lungs for signs of congestion, checked my ears, throat, sinuses, and abdomen. Dr. Patel then gave me his diagnosis and discussed with me his prescribed meds. I was happy with the professionalism exhibited by Dr. Patel as well as receptionists and nurses and for the fact that I was attended to in a very prompt manner.
