About

Dr. Kim was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She completed her medical school training at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She spent an additional year doing research in therapies for advanced thyroid cancer. She returned back to Los Angeles and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at UCLA. She stayed at UCLA for her sub-specialty training in Endocrinology. She then joined the faculty at UCLA and practices general endocrinology in Santa Monica. She speaks fluent Korean and medical Spanish.

Apt started on time. Doctor Kim is calm and like talking to family. She is aware of my medical records, she covers my needs completely with easy to understand explanations of what she has plans for in my care and why. She is calm, she actually listens and I feel understood and cared for.

My visit with Dr Sarah S Kim was substantive. She reviewed my blood work and bone density noting it had improved! She answers questions in a thorough manner using language that a layperson can understand. If I could rate Dr Kim on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, I would give her a 25. She a great clinician.
