Dr. Sahar Askarinam is a board-certified Family Physician. She graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Physiological Science and then received her medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed a residency in Family Medicine at Dignity Health Northridge and is excited to be back at UCLA, serving the Los Angeles community.

She did fantastic. She checked my lungs, my through, my ear, listened to my heart and asked all the great questions. She made sure I was ok before TB test. She listened well and explained about rebound symptoms that I had felt before. She is a great doctor.

My first visit with this Dr (as my primary was not available). I thought she was wonderful, informative, and helpful. This was the first experience, however, with a UCLA doctor telling me we were "out of time" -- I literally have never heard those words from a UCLA physician, oncologist, surgeon, etc. It felt odd.

She started very good, I felt like we were going at a good pace and she was asking me questions she needed. But towards the end as I’m going to start asking my questions she says she can’t answer because we’ve run out of time. I didn’t know my appointment was being timed and if I would have known then I would’ve asked my questions since the beginning instead of her filling my chart up because that’s what took her the longest to do. I felt like what I really went for was for nothing because now I’m back at square one of not having answers to my health issues.
