Dr. Kalay earned his Medical Degree at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. He joins us after completing residency at UC Davis San Joaquin General Hospital, following his Surgical Internship at Huntington Memorial Hospital. His medical interests are Preventive Care, Cosmetic Dermatology and Office Surgery. He is fluent in Hebrew and can speak Medical Spanish. He enjoys cinema, home renovation, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kalay is absolutely wonderful. He remembers my personal history. He keeps in touch with the latest studies and test that I’ve had done. He knows what I’m allergic to and what I’m sensitive to which is a lot of drugs. Dr. Kalay took my questions seriously. He seemed genuinely interested in me and gave complete, honest, no-BS answers about the ability of medication and western medicine generally to mitigate genetic risk. After he’d answered all my questions, he asked me about the mental health screening I did in the lobby and again he seemed genuinely interested in my wellbeing. He was matter of fact and whatever the opposite of “patronizing” is. Genuine, I suppose, to repeat myself.

Dr. Kalay listened to everything I told him about my health, discussed my blood pressure and other issues. He advised that I can get my blood tested after fasting at the UCLA Porter Ranch facility. We even discussed whether I might need an MMR booster since I was last vaccinated as a child.
