About
Dr. Schenker is a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Schenker earned her BA degree from Tufts University with a major in biology, and her MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed her residency training in pediatrics at UCSF and her subspecialty training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Schenker also completed an advanced fellowship in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. During fellowship, Dr. Schenker earned her Masters in Clinical, Biomedical and Translational Research at the University of Southern California. She currently serves as the medical director of the Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Liver Disease (MASLD) Clinic. Her clinical interests include pediatric liver transplant, cholestasis, biliary atresia, autoimmune hepatitis, acute liver failure, MASLD. and general gastroenterology. Her primary research interest is MASLD in adolescents with obesity and she has funding from the Southern California Center for Chronic Disease Research and Prevention.
