After decades in family practice Dr. McDermott has transitioned to the immediate care setting where she provides thoughtful and convenient care to adults and children with acute medical concerns. Originally from Boston, she appreciates the climate and beauty of Southern CA where she has raised twin sons with her pharmacist husband. I had a great experience. Dr. Mc Dermott was very helpful explaining the symptoms and looking at the entirety of my heal picture. She asked many questions and looked at my chart. She ordered an X-ray of my chest to rule out any issue with my lungs. She’s very thorough in her treatment.

I had a very bad fall down a steep driveway due to pine needles creating a slippery slope that I was not able to control my momentum and get traction with my shoes. Dr. McDermott cleaned my wounds of dirt, debris and torn skin, informed me what she was doing and helped prepare me for some of the more uncomfortable parts. She skillfully patched me back together using her many years of expertise. Dr McDermott is caring and compassionate and feel lucky that she was the doctor on call at the Immediate Care in Malibu.
