I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment as requested. I was called into the exam room at least 7 minutes before my appointment time. The nurse took my BP, temperature, and heart rate. Dr. Walia came in shortly after. He is such a positive, and upbeat personality. I was pleased with his assessment and recommendations for a follow up to 5 months.

I had a frustrating visit with him, as he did not mind my request for how to set my CPAP machine for better results, even though I had taken it with me for this visit. He did not answer all of my questions or had any interest for the complications that I have had with CPAP therapy for around 11 months. He just said that the last month is okay so continue what you have been doing. He said that fatigue is different from sleepiness, but did not explain how. The examples he brought up was not relevant to my situation and medical conditions.

He allowed me to make my request. When I told him it was about my face mask, he went and returned with several mask types that would solve the problem. He allowed me to take home a mask that appears to solve the problem. I get to use my CPAP machine tonight, and I am very happy.

Dr. Walia increased the air pressure in my CPAP machine to a nine and he advised that if I needed to change the air pressure again, I could do so by letting him know on the portal and he could change it electronically. He provided additional information regarding my CPAP machine, which I was not aware of and appreciate it.
