About
Dr. Nathan McLaughlin is a Clinical Instructor in the UCLA Department of Medicine and a General Internist at UCLA Health. He provides evidence-based, comprehensive primary care for adults, with clinical interests in chronic disease management, prevention, and healthy living strategies to support long-term health. He is also passionate about HIV prophylaxis and treatment, sexual health, LGBTQ+ care, and health equity.
Dr. McLaughlin values a collaborative approach to medicine, partnering with his patients to navigate both their medical needs while supporting them through life's challenges. He strives to foster an environment that helps each person feel encouraged and empowered to reach their health goals.
Originally from Puyallup, WA, Dr. McLaughlin earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and completed internal medicine residency at UCLA. He received his undergraduate degree from Seattle University.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys running, strength training, volleyball, musical theater, caring for his houseplants, and exploring the diverse food and nightlife of Los Angeles.
