I saw Dr. Opene and I was very sad because of my weight situation and feeling like a failure since our last appointment. He came in with a very cheerful and upbeat demeanor and was nonjudgmental. Having been in terrible shoulder pain all weekend, I was able to get a same-day slot appt with Dr. Opene this morning, and he was extraordinary! He asked me very specific questions, gave me thorough motion tests and immediately prescribed pain meds, a shot in the office for the inflammation, an x-ray, and a STAT MRI and orthopedic surgeon referral. He is a magnificent doctor, and I?m very grateful for his expert care.

I saw Dr. Opene for the first time today. Being overweight is a very sensitive subject for me and I was anxious about the appointment. But he came in and wasn’t judgmental at all. He took his time and explained to me my options as well as the pros and cons to them. He allowed me to ask questions and didn’t make me feel like the questions were dumb. He gave me other resources to access and told me to follow up with him after I’d made my decision. The visit wasn’t uncomfortable at all.
