I really love my doctor. He’s restored my faith in the UCLA health system. He’s thorough, direct and efficient without rushing or being rude. I actually feel like a person instead of a chart number. I have to pass 3 other UCLA clinics I can go to and drive an extra 17 1/2 miles to see Dr. Opene and IT’S WORTH IT!

Dr Opene has been my Dr for several years now. I even drove 45 minutes for my appt today because he transferred to a new location and I still want to see him, he’s that good. Dr Opene is caring and ACTUALLY listens when I talk. He is not like most drs that just want to prescribe another medication but wants me to get healthy and feel better. I credit Dr. Opene with getting me started on the road to a healthier me.

He's thorough, extremely caring and very knowledgeable about my health proving that he looks at my charts and test results from all doctors and gives me advice accordingly. I completely trust Dr Opene more than any other Dr. I've ever had. At age 66, that's saying a lot.

Dr. Opene’s appearance is always professional and impeccable no matter what time of day my appointments are. He’s has a sunny disposition but doesn’t sugar coat hard facts that need to be discussed he just makes them more palatable in a caring way. I like the fact that he’s patient with patients when his patience could easily wear thin. He makes us feel like he’s in the fight with us and not just someone administering help from outside.
