Mia J. Sanders, MD

Dr. Mia Sanders is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She practices at the UCLA Health Torrance Obstetrics & Gynecology Community Practice and is affiliated with Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance.

Dr. Sanders began her academic journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated from the Haas School of Business. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

With more than two decades of clinical experience, including over 13 years caring for women in the South Bay, Dr. Sanders is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care throughout every stage of a woman's life. She provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services, with expertise in the evaluation and management of uterine fibroids, as well as the care of women during perimenopause and menopause.

Known for her thoughtful and collaborative approach, Dr. Sanders believes that the foundation of outstanding medical care begins with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient's concerns, values, and goals, partnering with them to develop individualized treatment plans informed by the latest evidence-based medicine. Her approach emphasizes education, shared decision-making, and compassionate support, empowering women to make confident, informed decisions about their health.

Originally from Mississippi, Dr. Sanders has proudly called Southern California home for the past 15 years. Outside of her clinical practice, she enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, and traveling with family and friends.
