Dr. Melody Fulton is a board certified family medicine physician who practices in Santa Barbara. She believes in a holistic approach to medicine, focusing on the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of each patient.
Dr. Fulton grew up in the Bay Area. As a child, she was afraid of the doctors which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine to help others feel comfortable and cared for during their healthcare experiences. After earning her medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Fulton returned to her home state of California to complete residency at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. She served as a Chief Resident during her final year. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Trinity College in Connecticut.
In her free time, she enjoys staying active and loves spinning, skiing, and running by the ocean. She also has fun trying new restaurants and traveling!

Dr. Fulton was wonderful! She listened closely to my concerns, asked pertinent questions, and did a thorough physical exam. She also ordered tests. I felt that her approach was thorough and sensible. I really appreciated her suggestion suggestions as to how to best to take my medications. Even though this was the first time I met her I felt like she really understood my needs.

Urgent visit to Dr. Fulton for low back pain. After examination and discussion about treatment options Dr. Fulton prescribed Toradol injection for immediate pain relief, flexeril muscle relaxant and steroid if pain persists along with instructions to take nsaids and apply heat. Obtained almost immediate relief from injection such that am now able to move without pain.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Fulton, which began with a brief introduction and review of my records which progressed into the appropriate concerns requiring follow through — such as blood tests, bone density and colonoscopy. The appointment was absolutely perfect with a follow up appointment scheduled in two weeks to discuss the findings of the various tests. I am very happy with my appointment today.

I always have a good experience with Melody! She is extremely knowledgeable and welcoming I always feel comfortable coming to my appointments to see her. Melody is always super professional but also friendly I appreciate her and I am happy knowing she is my pcp and has my best interests at heart when it comes to my health.
