About

Dr. Melody Fulton is a board certified family medicine physician who practices in Santa Barbara. She believes in a holistic approach to medicine, focusing on the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of each patient.

Dr. Fulton grew up in the Bay Area. As a child, she was afraid of the doctors which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine to help others feel comfortable and cared for during their healthcare experiences. After earning her medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Fulton returned to her home state of California to complete residency at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. She served as a Chief Resident during her final year. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Trinity College in Connecticut.

In her free time, she enjoys staying active and loves spinning, skiing, and running by the ocean. She also has fun trying new restaurants and traveling!

I’m very grateful to have the care, expertise, and professionalism UCLA Health always provides and today was no exception. Dr. Fulton and the team were very attentive, friendly, and answered my questions. I wish I had been better prepared for the visit as I had to send a follow up message to cover the bases. That’s on me.
