  • Lead, GI Behavioral Medicine, Walter and Shirley Wang Center for Integrative Digestive Health

Dr. Oser is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in behavioral medicine, gastroenterology/hepatology, and integrated care.

She has held leadership roles at academic medical centers and digital health technology companies. Before joining UCLA, Dr. Oser was faculty at Harvard Medical School and director of the CBT and Behavioral Medicine Program in Psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. There, she expanded CBT clinical services and behavioral medicine research across psychiatry, primary care, and specialty medical settings. Her work focused on transdiagnostic CBT approaches at the intersection of medical and behavioral health, developing and testing novel CBTs, mindfulness-based treatments, and e-health/mobile applications across gastroenterology, hepatology, cardiology, transplant, neurology, and infectious diseases.

In the digital health industry, Dr. Oser led clinical and scientific efforts to translate evidence-based psychological interventions into digital therapeutics grounded in clinical science and healthcare best practices. Her leadership at a GI-focused digital therapeutic company resulted in the first FDA authorization of software-as-a-medical-device within gastroenterology.

Dr. Oser has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles, served on the editorial board of the Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science, and provided clinical training to numerous professionals and trainees.

Since joining UCLA in 2022, she leads the Integrative Digestive Health Program, including GI behavioral medicine, and serves as faculty in the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases.
