Dr. Megan Oser is a clinical psychologist specializing in behavioral medicine, gastroenterology/hepatology, and integrated care.

Dr. Oser has held leadership roles in large academic medical care settings and digital health start up technology companies. Before joining UCLA, Dr. Oser was Director of the CBT and Behavioral Medicine Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. There, Dr. Oser expanded CBT clinical services and established the behavioral medicine program bridging psychiatry, primary care, and specialty care. Dr. Oser's work is at the intersection of medicine and psychology. She developed transdiagnostic cognitive behavioral therapies, mindfulness-based treatments, and digital health applications within a range of specialty medical care settings (gastroenterology, hepatology, cardiology, solid organ and face/hand transplant, neurology, and infectious diseases)

In the digital health industry, Dr. Oser led clinical development and scientific strategy for translating evidence-based psychological and behavioral therapies into digital therapeutic mobile applications grounded in clinical science and healthcare best practices.  Dr. Oser was part of the founding team of a GI-focused digital therapeutic company that were the first to obtain FDA authorization for a digital therapuetic (software-as-a-medical-device) within gastroenterology.

Dr. Oser has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles, served on the Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science editorial board, and has provided clinical training and teaching to numerous clinicians, physicians, health care providers, and trainees.

Dr. Oser joined UCLA to lead the Integrative Digestive Health Program including GI Behavioral Medicine in the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases and is a faculty member in the Department of Medicine.
