About

I am a general internist with a special interest in pain and addiction medicine, as well as primary care for people living with sickle cell disease. I graduated from the Yale School of Medicine in 2021 (Cum Laude), and pursued internal medicine and primary care training at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women's Hospital. I became board-certified in internal medicine in 2024. Before entering medicine, I studied civil and environmental engineering at Howard University (Summa Cum Laude), and bioengineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

During my medical training, I discovered that some of the most neglected patients in our healthcare system are those with substance use disorders and people living with sickle cell disease. I developed a skillset in providing comprehensive care for these patients, particularly in managing complex pain in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. I am passionate about providing compassionate care to those most in need. While pain management is essential for improving the quality of life of my patients, I am also deeply committed to preventive care, including reproductive health and contraception, as well as chronic disease management to help patients achieve and maintain healthy aging.

Being a native French speaker with professional proficiency in Spanish allows me to connect deeply with diverse patient populations.

Outside of clinical medicine, I conduct research that focuses on improving the quality of care for racial and ethnic minorities, and identifying other tools outside of healthcare such as a healthy natural and built environment to help people live healthier, longer lives. I occasionally teach and mentor medical trainees, and hope to help increase diversity in the physician workforce.
