About
Dr. Farid completed her undergraduate work at UCLA, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in physiological science and a minor in near Eastern languages and cultures. She completed her medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in 2003. She returned to UCLA to complete a residency in internal medicine at the UCLA-VA Greater Los Angeles Program, and then went on to complete her fellowship in gastroenterology at UCLA.
Dr. Farid practices general gastroenterology in all its aspects, with particular interests in inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders, irritable bowel syndrome and colon cancer screening. She is board certified in gastroenterology. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterology Association.
