About

Dr. Kaneshiro received both his undergraduate bachelor of science degree in biology and medical degree at the University of Hawaii. He completed his internal medicine residency at the combined Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs training program and also served an additional year as chief medical resident. He completed his gastroenterology training at the UCLA Digestive Diseases Fellowship Program.

Dr. Kaneshiro has clinical interests in esophageal disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastrointestinal motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s Disease), celiac disease, gastrointestinal bleeding and colon cancer screening.

He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Kaneshiro is board certified in gastroenterology.

Doctor Kaneshiro, and residence/medical student, we’re both very professional and understanding. Dr. Kaneshiro was knowledgeable and helpful in regard to my medical condition and as as much referred me to a more specialized G.I. clinic within UCLA. With a follow up with Doctor Kaneshiro in a few months, or sooner if the need arises. He seemed as mentioned very professional, and was understanding and kind. Hoping I can get to see the specialty clinic physicians and look forward to them hopefully being able to manage the serious medical condition which requires management. Would recommend Doctor Kaneshiro.
