About

Dr. Lisa Zhu is a board-certified general rheumatologist who practices in Encino. She enjoys treating the full spectrum of rheumatologic diseases, including Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren's Syndrome, Spondyloarthritis, Vasculitis, Myositis, Scleroderma, Gout, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, and Fibromyalgia. She is dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate care to all of her patients. 

Born and raised in San Diego, Dr. Zhu received her undergraduate degree from Harvard. She received her medical degree from UCLA, then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Stanford. She returned to UCLA to complete her Rheumatology fellowship. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, baking, and playing piano.

Dr. Zhu is kind and caring and always takes the time to listen and address any health concerns I might have. She has worked with me for over a year to to help manage a disease and always allows me to be a part of the decision making.

Not just saying this... Dr Lisa L.Zhu is one of the tier doctor's with UCLA. She comes in with an inviting warm greeting, has already reviewed my chart, for all my medical history that has taken place since our last appt together, she listens, completes a physical of the areas she has concerns. Goes over my medications, health issues, puts a plan for my future!

Dr Zhu is an outstanding physician! She thoughtful and thorough in her explanations and provides excellent responses to questions. I would highly recommend Dr Zhu as a especially as a gist time patient to a rheumatology patient.

Dr. Zhu is at the top of her specialty. I have been labeled a “complex” patient by many providers. I come from out of state to be seen by Dr. Zhu. Her approach has been thorough, methodical, informed, and supportive. I consider myself lucky to have Dr. Zhu as my rheumatologist.
