Dr. Lauren Beshay is a general endocrinologist who practices in Thousand Oaks. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism. She is a proponent of using evidence-based practice to educate patients about their diagnosis and empower them to make the best shared decision regarding their care.
Dr. Beshay earned her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her internal medicine residency at UCLA Olive View, and endocrinology fellowship training at the University of California, Irvine. She received her bachelor's degree from UCLA, where she completed a major in physiology and minor in Spanish.
Dr Beshay was born in Cairo spent her childhood in Paris, then immigrated to the United States as a teenager. In her free time she loves to travel, and spend time with her family, especially her new daughter. She is involved in her local Coptic Orthodox Church and attributes all her success to God and tremendous support of her family.
Dr. Beshay is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Dr Beshay took my history and evaluated me and informed me that some of my existing conditions may be related and could be treated by a GLP agonist. She prescribed a the initial starter dose and next level dose and we set up a follow up in 4 months. She was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable, I really enjoyed the appointment.

Wow, what an incredible provider! Dr Beshay is a wonderful, talented, smart, and empathetic doctor. I feel incredibly lucky to be under her care! This was my first appointment with her, and I was incredibly impressed with how quickly she came up to speed with my somewhat layered and complex medical history. In my experience, not all doctors are able to take in my history easily. Not only could she handle my history, she deftly and collaboratively designed a medical plan for my future. She took every aspect of my medical and mental health history, to not only provide me wonderful service during my appointment in relation to my medical PTSD…but also kept my medical needs and trauma in mind as she designed a plan of action that would work well for the future. My health will continue to get better because she made care accessible and realistic for me. This is an incredible talent that I don’t find all the time. Thank you to UCLA. and De. Beshay for their skill and talent in looking at the whole patient, not just from when providers perspective, but a whole person approach! I’m very grateful to be under her incredible care.
