Laura A. Castillon, MD

Dr. Laura Castillon is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician providing comprehensive primary care at UCLA Health in Goleta, California. She is dedicated to building lasting relationships with her patients and delivering evidence-based, preventive, and patient-centered care. Her clinical interests include chronic disease prevention and management, women’s health, and lifestyle medicine.

Dr. Castillon earned her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Saint Maarten. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Eisenhower Medical Center, where she cared for a diverse patient population across both inpatient and outpatient settings. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Castillon worked as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), gaining valuable experience caring for patients in emergency settings. Throughout her training, she developed a strong interest in preventive medicine and lifestyle interventions. She is especially passionate about incorporating aquatic-based exercise into primary care and hopes to expand opportunities for physicians to prescribe and integrate water-based exercise programs as part of comprehensive patient care.

Originally from Truckee, California, Dr. Castillon is excited to serve the Goleta and Santa Barbara communities. Outside of medicine, she enjoys swimming, taking her dog to the beach, and exploring local restaurants with family and friends.
