About
Dr. Larsen’s academic journey starts with a dual degree in biology and psychology from the University of California, Davis. Following her undergraduate career at UC Davis, Dr. Larsen earned her Medical Degree at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science. She then completed an Internal Medicine Preliminary Year at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, followed by her dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis.
After completing her dermatology residency at UC Davis, Dr. Larsen joined UC Davis as a faculty member. While at UC Davis she was the Assistant Program Director where she led resident education, curriculum development and resident research projects. She had a clinical focus on hormonally related dermatologic conditions including acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, and hair loss. She subsequently moved to Ventura County and spent five years in private practice and as a dermatology consultant for local hospitals. While in private practice, she gained additional significant experience in the dermatologic management of patients across all age groups and complex inpatient and outpatient conditions including mucous membrane, immunobullous and connective tissue diseases. Her expertise extends to procedures including excisions for skin cancers, hidradenitis suppurativa treatments, and removal of benign skin lesions. She is passionate about dermatology and thrives on intriguing cases.
Apart from her professional accomplishments, Dr. Larsen actively engages in community service and volunteers with local community hospitals to increase resident education about dermatology. She currently serves as a board member for the Ventura County Medical Association and is a member of several prestigious professional associations.

Dr Larson and staff were thorough and courteous. Dr Larson recognized the precancerous lesions and offered three courses of action and treatment. I chose which treatment and she proceeded with the appropriate course of action. Visit was and treatment was about 15 mins total and before I left they had already scheduled me for a follow up. Very thorough and courteous.
