Kimberly A. Silva, MD

Dr. Kimberly Silva is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist with UCLA Health who provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders. She has a particular interest in general pediatric gastroenterology and enjoys partnering with primary care physicians to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care.

Dr. Silva evaluates and manages a broad range of pediatric gastrointestinal conditions, including abdominal pain, constipation, reflux, feeding difficulties, poor growth, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), eosinophilic esophagitis, functional gastrointestinal disorders, liver and biliary disorders, and other digestive and nutritional disorders.

Dr. Silva attended medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training at UC Irvine, followed by a pediatric chief residency year for the UC Irvine and UCI-CHOC pediatric residency programs. She then completed her pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at UCLA, where she received extensive training in general pediatric gastroenterology, nutrition, hepatology, and liver transplantation.

Dr. Silva is pleased to return to UCLA Health and serves patients throughout Santa Monica, the Westside, and greater Los Angeles communities. She provides outpatient pediatric gastroenterology care through UCLA Health in Santa Monica, performs pediatric gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, and participates in inpatient pediatric gastroenterology consultation services at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center. She values close communication with referring physicians and strives to provide timely access and collaborative care.
