About
Dr. Kimberly Richardson grew up in Kansas City and received her undergraduate degree from Baker University. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, then completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Richardson is a primary care internist practicing in Torrance. She specializes in the care of adults with an emphasis on chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and other chronic medical conditions. She understands the importance of patient-physician communication and aims to create a space where patients and their family members feel comfortable.
Dr. Richardson is a designated UCLA Health LGBTQ+ Champion with advanced training in the care of adult patients in the LGBTQ+ community. She has experience in gender health with clinical interests in PrEP/PEP and primary care of the HIV patient. She is currently an assistant clinical professor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, movies and the beach.

Dr. Richardson has the most impeccable care and concern about me as a patient. She wanted to hear all of my concerns; she was careful to take a cautious approach to addressing areas where we have not ventured before. For instance with regard to my airing back rather than to pursue further medical intervention, she suggested that I try a topical medicine first if that does not prove beneficial we will go to the next step. I appreciate that approach! She was concerned about every aspect of my well-being from mental to physical and social. I felt like she has a holistic approach to wellness that came across. She was courteous, respectful, and very engaging.

The front office staff were extremely courteous, professional, and welcoming. I was taken to the examination room within 10 minutes of my arrival. The nurse was thorough. Dr Richardson was attentive and comprehensive in her examination and touched upon all of my multitude of health issues. She provided antibiotics for my sinus infection and put in orders for my blood test not only for my upcoming cancer scan but in anticipation for a physical in a few months. I was also able to get a Nurse’s examination for a Covid and pneumonia booster. I find Dr Richardson to be an excellent MD who provides excellent clinical care with a personable touch

I had a wonderful experience with my doctor, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but very compassionate. My visit with Dr. Richardson was a great experience I found her to be warm, pleasant, cordial, encouraging and Well Prepared. She was very pleasant at getting to the business at hand. She encouraged me to do what is necessary such as, eating healthy and exercising and taking my medication on time and taking my Blood Pressure daily. When our visit ended, I left the room feeling valued, no rush!
