About
Dr. Kimberly Richardson grew up in Kansas City and received her undergraduate degree from Baker University. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, then completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Richardson is a primary care internist practicing in Torrance. She specializes in the care of adults with an emphasis on chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and other chronic medical conditions. She understands the importance of patient-physician communication and aims to create a space where patients and their family members feel comfortable.
Dr. Richardson is a designated UCLA Health LGBTQ+ Champion with advanced training in the care of adult patients in the LGBTQ+ community. She has experience in gender health with clinical interests in PrEP/PEP and primary care of the HIV patient. She is currently an assistant clinical professor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, movies and the beach.

I absolutely love, Dr. Richardson! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe. I didn’t feel rushed during my appointment at all as I have felt with past providers and I truly felt like she cared about my overall well-being. Dr Richardson was attentive and comprehensive in her examination and touched upon all of my multitude of health issues. She provided antibiotics for my sinus infection and put in orders for my blood test not only for my upcoming cancer scan but in anticipation for a physical in a few months. I was also able to get a Nurse’s examination for a Covid and pneumonia booster. I find Dr Richardson to be an excellent MD who provides excellent clinical care with a personable touch

Best doctor I've ever had. She listened to me, discussed my mental health, home safety, eating habit and well being. She cared about me. She took the time to follow up on my progress over the past year and I must say that my life has improved 200% under her care. My physical examination went smoothly and, she allayed my concern that an irritation on my neck was not skin cancer. She deserves a 10+. I was able to receive both flu and covid shots. Well done.

It was an initial appointment. She did a great job with getting medical history. Very friendly and welcoming. I wish she had asked more personal questions about my family, job, and any environmental stressors that may impact my health.
