About
Dr. Kimberly Richardson grew up in Kansas City and received her undergraduate degree from Baker University. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, then completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Richardson is a primary care internist practicing in Torrance. She specializes in the care of adults with an emphasis on chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and other chronic medical conditions. She understands the importance of patient-physician communication and aims to create a space where patients and their family members feel comfortable.
Dr. Richardson is a designated UCLA Health LGBTQ+ Champion with advanced training in the care of adult patients in the LGBTQ+ community. She has experience in gender health with clinical interests in PrEP/PEP and primary care of the HIV patient. She is currently an assistant clinical professor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, movies and the beach.

Kimberly Jaynette Richardson, MD. is my favorite doctor. I've been in many doctor's offices in my 60 years (my own, my spouse's, children's, parents', siblings, friends', etc). There is no finer physician than Dr. Richardson. She cares, listens, sees the big picture, notices the small details, takes time to investigate and respond, treats me like an individual, and goes above and beyond because her empathy and integrity are THE REAL THING. Dr Richardson was attentive and comprehensive in her examination and touched upon all of my multitude of health issues. She provided antibiotics for my sinus infection and put in orders for my blood test not only for my upcoming cancer scan but in anticipation for a physical in a few months.
