Jonathan C. Lebowitz, MD

Jonathan C. Lebowitz, MD is a health sciences assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Lebowitz earned his BA from New York University with a major in Journalism and Psychology and his MD from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

He completed his residency and chief residency in pediatrics at the NYU Langone Department of Pediatrics and his subspecialty training in pediatric gastroenterology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. During fellowship training, Dr. Lebowitz earned his MEd with a certificate in medical education at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Lebowitz completed the advanced training program in gastrointestinal motility and functional disorders at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

He currently serves as the medical director of the Pediatric Neurogastroenterology and Motility Program (NGM) at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. The NGM supports other multidisciplinary clinics at UCLA Health through work with pediatric otolaryngology and pediatric neurology. His clinical interests include disorders of gut-brain interaction, motility and general pediatric gastroenterology. His research interests include medical education and patient-physician communication.
