Dr. Jeong-hee Ku is a board-certified general endocrinologist who practices in Burbank. She sees patients with variety of endocrine disorders including thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary diseases, diabetes and osteoporosis, and has special clinical interest in diabetes care.
Dr. Ku received her medical degree from State University of New York, Buffalo. She then completed her internal medicine residency at University of Texas, Southwestern, and endocrinology fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Prior to medical training, she earned her bachelor's degree at UCLA.

Dr. Ku is so patient with me, explains as many times as I need to hear the explanations, and I told her how much I appreciate this. I'm going thru a difficult time trying to be pro active w osteopenia care, and was devastated that fosamax gave me so much side effect of acid reflux that I had to stop taking it after 4 weeks. I am so confused, and still am confused, about the different kinds of calcium supplements. The one I have been taking has caused stomach problems. I think that even for the doctor the choices of which to take is confusing, and different patients respond so differently. It was helpful to know that I had choices of what to take. It has been overwhelming and she lifted the load for me a bit. It was so helpful to ask her all the questions, voice all my concerns, share how emotional I am feeling about this - - and to have her listen and speak mindfully with me about what my situation is and what my options are. There was a brief wait time in the office but I didn't really mind.

I had ALOT of questions for Dr. Ku, and I never felt rushed at asking any of them. She listens carefully and takes her time with every answer. I feel heard. I have many concerns about the meds she has suggested, and I never feel as tho she is annoyed that I am hesitant and have questions. I am so glad to have her on my team. It was such a wonderful experience when Dr Ku and a training medical doctor came and explained everything very clearly, and even with diagrams of what they were planning to do with my osteoporosis diagnosis was. Dr ku covered a lot of information today that was very helpful to me. She made adjustments to my insulin pump, discussed my thyroid results, examined me, reviewed recommendations, reviewed important information pertaining to my increase in medication. She also brought my low blood pressure to my attention today. I had no idea but advised me to check it daily and discuss medication and low bp w my nephrologist. She is professional and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I’m thankful to have her for my physician.
