About
Dr. Patel is a General and Interventional Cardiologist primarily based in the Santa Clarita area but with procedural and clinical responsibilities extending into the San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles. He did a combined 7-year undergraduate/medical school program in his home state of Illinois before moving to California for the remainder of his training. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Stanford and Cardiology/Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at UCLA.
Dr. Patel strives to incorporate cutting edge evidence and technology into his daily practice, whether it be seeing patients in the office or doing procedures in the hospital setting. He is experienced in myriad problems under the Cardiovascular Disease umbrella, including dealing with heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and prevention. From a procedural standpoint, Dr. Patel is performing procedures for patients who need angioplasty or stenting, patients with cornary microvascular disease, and patients with congenital heart problems that need minimally invasive closure, such as PFO.
In his spare time he spends his time doing 3 things: traveling with his family, eating his way through LA, and playing/watching basketball. Ask him about any of these at your next visit!

It is very rare for me to be impressed with a doctor’s office, but this morning I definitely was. I was asked to show up 30 minutes before my appointment to fill out paperwork. When I got there, I was handed the paperwork and started filling it out and I was called just a few minutes later. I was in the room, trying to finish the paperwork when the nurse came in and took my history. Then the doctor came in, and he was extremely pleasant. All in all, I walked out of there before my scheduled appointment. Everybody was professional and friendly, and most importantly did not keep me waiting. I understand that the doctor’s time is valuable, but so is the patient’s time. Thank you for not making me wait.

He took time with me to make sure he understood the problem I was having. He made several recommendations to help me and point me in the right direction. He is great with patients and I will be seeing him again to be my regular cardiologist. He had me take an EKG and listened to my heart. The staff took my vitals and he asked me to wear a halter. I felt confident in Dr Patel care!
