About

Dr. James Lee is a New York native who earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics, Business Management, and Marketing from Cornell University. He went on to receive his medical degree from Loma Linda University, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He then completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the UCLA San Fernando Valley Program, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and Olive View Medical Center. Dr. Lee further specialized in Interventional Cardiology through a fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Dr. Lee currently serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA and holds the role of Associate Regional Director and Co-Lead of the Quality and Teaching Committee for Interventional Cardiology at UCLA. He is also a member of the UCLA Department of Medicine Quality Committee, where he contributes as a Peer Physician Coach and supports physician onboarding and training. At Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, he serves as Medical Director for the Cardiology Division, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, STEMI Program, and Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.

He is board-certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and its Subspecialty Boards in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Lee is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Dr. Lee specializes in the management of coronary artery disease and pulmonary embolism through complex coronary and pulmonary interventions. He also has a strong interest in lifestyle modification, with a focus on optimizing diet and promoting healthy weight loss. Dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care, Dr. Lee emphasizes understanding each individual’s health needs and goals, combining advanced medical techniques with a compassionate approach.
