Dr. Irene Wang completed her undergraduate education at the University of the Pacific and then earned her medical degree from Taipei Medical University. It was during her time there that she became fascinated by the combination of Western medicine with an understanding of Chinese medicine practices. Inspired by the incorporation of Chinese medicine into daily life, Dr. Wang advocates for preventive strategies that include these practices.
Returning to her native home of California, she completed her residency at the University of California Riverside School of Medicine, Family Medicine, taking on roles as chief resident and wellness champion. Motivated by the balanced approach to healthcare she experienced in Taiwan, Dr. Wang sought out opportunities at UCLA's East-West Medicine to further explore the seamless integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine into daily life for preventive health.
Dr. Wang's passions lie in comprehensive, integrative patient care and lifelong learning. Outside of medicine, she enjoys tennis, cooking, practicing the tea ceremony, and indulging her wanderlust through travel.
