About

I am a pediatric hospitalist and currently an assistant clinical professor at the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital system and UCLA David Geffen School of Medical. I care for hospitalized children and adolescent patients at both UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital and UCLA Santa Monica Hospital campus.

I completed my medical training at St George’s Medical school and then finished medical residency in pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. I then moved back to Los Angeles where I was born and raised to obtain a fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine at UCLA and serve the community.

As a physician in the UCLA health system, I strive daily to apply my medical education, public health knowledge, and grassroot community experience to fuel a resilient, economically vital, and healthier society. I am currently conducting multiple research projects covering the realm of infectious disease, respiratory illnesses, quality improvement and medical education curriculum. By being an active member in the community, I aim to be a role model and neighborhood advocate of mental and physical health wellness services in underserved communities. I currently lead quality improvement projects on a local and national level to ensure UCLA continues to be a leader in hospitalized pediatric care. By designing programs on preventative medicine and access to care, I hope to ensure all children in Los Angeles, especially those from vulnerable populations, are cared for.

I advocate for high-quality patient care among all backgrounds and promote equality awareness as a core aspect of pediatric hospital medicine. I aim to address racial disparities in pediatric management, socioeconomic factors impacting children with complex medical conditions, and gender inequality. While mentoring future physicians, I aim to raise awareness of our own prejudices among healthcare providers and encourage safe discussions, humility, as well as open-mindedness.
