Grace I. Chen, MD

Dr. Grace Chen is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. 

Dr. Chen sees patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings as both a primary care physician and consultant on geriatric syndromes for older patients. She has a special interest in memory disorders evaluation and assisting patients and their families with issues related to memory loss. As a Clinician Educator, Dr. Chen teaches all levels of trainees in various clinical settings. 

From 2015 to 2024, she served as the Clinical Chief of UCLA's Division of Geriatrics, overseeing all clinical service lines in the ambulatory, inpatient and skilled nursing facility settings for the division. She continues to actively partner with various stakeholders to elevate Age-Friendly Care for older patients across the UCLA Health System.

At the national level, Dr. Chen serves on the Item-Writing Task Force in Geriatric Medicine for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the Clinical Practice and Models of Care Committee for the American Geriatrics Society, Steering Committee for Women in Medicine for American Geriatrics Society and Editorial Advisory Board for IM Matters for American College of Physicians.
