Gabriela Sauder, MD earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine "Gr. T. Popa" Iasi, Romania, and her BS in Psychology from the University of Bucharest, Romania. Prior to coming to the U.S, Dr. Sauder was a board-certified internal medicine physician, and a clinical instructor of medicine. In the U.S., she earned a MS in Nursing from UCLA in 2012, and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of California, Riverside in 2015. With a lifelong passion to help vulnerable and frail patients, Dr. Sauder pursued a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at UCLA (2016 -2017). After her fellowship graduation in 2017, Dr. Sauder has joined UCLA Health. Her interests are related to healthy aging, memory loss and dementia, psychiatry in primary care, polypharmacy, gait impairment and falls in older adults, urinary incontinence, weight loss and malnutrition, and end-of-life care. As a trained geriatrician, Dr. Sauder offers a Home Visit Program for the sick, frail and bed-bound older patients who fulfill the enrollment criteria. In addition to English, Dr. Sauder speaks Spanish, German and Romanian.

She was attentive, thorough in reviewing my past records, and forward thinking in recommending exercise to incorporate into my routine that was workable for me. She is sensitive to my point of you, was encouraging and left me with a positive uplifting feeling for the way forward. She demonstrated competence by suggesting follow-up lab reports and a possible C-Scan when I was ready to do so. She was respectful of my sensitivities and did not insist any specific treatment, but offered her suggestions calmly and in a tone conducive to my listening, hearing and accepting her guidance. Her demeanor was friendly, professional and warm. I���m delighted to be under her care!

I was there for a physical and the doctor made sure I was signed up for the labs and tests I needed. She is very compassionate and inquired about my ongoing medical conditions. She also asked about my living arrangements and suggested I wear an emergency alert device. I asked for a referral to a specialist and she promptly set that up. She actually listens. I am happy to have a doctor who is thorough and cares about the pain I am experiencing.
