Dr. Avanesyan was calm and reassuring from the moment he walked into the examination room. This was good because I was a bit agitated about my condition. He listened, he alerted me to a scheduling issue, he added notes on a new condition, and he consulted with the front desk on billing. He even said goodbye as I walked by his office on the way out. This is care.

My experience with Dr. Avanasyan was excellent. He was very intelligent, knowledgeable and professional. He is very supportive with his patients and I can see that he truly cares about their well being. He made me feel better about my situation when I gave him a lot of questions to answer, and his answers were honest and sincere. I believe he did his job well by ordering a new blood test and an ultrasound to check on my liver, he went above and beyond to make sure my health is in good standing.

Once I got on the call my doctor did not seem like he wanted to be there. He rushed the conversation and didn?t seem interested in my issues. He asked me about my situation and symptoms I was having with mold exposure at my job and I explained everything that has happened and asked if I could get tested for it. Once I started talking about symptoms he told me ?No one will put you on disability for this? and repeated it again even though I hadn?t asked to be put on disability. He then asked if I was experiencing other symptoms and asked me if I had any allergy issues which I do not. He then mentioned no one would give me disability leave again even though I hadn?t brought it up at all in the conversation. He gave me no suggestions except to tell my job to test for mold and that the pulmonary doctor wouldn?t see me for 3-4 months. Once the call ended I went to the notes and saw he left out vital information we talked about and also said he gave advice and recommendations that were never said on the call. I went into this appointment trying to understand what could be wrong and what I can do for the time being and he gave no me advice, help or insight. Instead he made me feel like I was just trying to get off work or be put on disability, made me doubt my symptoms or that something is wrong and made me feel stupid for not knowing how long the wait for a pulmonary doctor is. He was my primary doctor but I will be changing him shortly because of his lack of empathy and care is now very apparent after this visit.

Dr. Avanesyan is an attentive, compassionate doctor. I had my annual physical and established care with him, and I greatly appreciated his patience, and his willingness to listen and be curious. When I’ve been primary care physicians in the past, I felt I was being rushed out the door, but I didn’t feel that way at all today. I barely waited, which is also rare nowadays. Super easy and straightforward, I’m so glad I looked at his reviews and was able to get in within a week!
