Dr. Liu is a rheumatologist practicing in Beverly Hills, Burbank, and Pasadena. He is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.

His interest is in general rheumatology and its wide variety of rheumatic diseases. Dr. Liu also completed the USSONAR training course and has an interest in applying and incorporating musculoskeletal ultrasonography for patients in addition to performing joint and soft tissue injections in his clinic. He has also earned his musculoskeletal ultrasound certification in Rheumatology (RhMSUS) from the American College of Rheumatology. He believes in the holistic health of the patient and working in a partnership with the patient to improve their wellness.

Dr. Liu grew up here in Los Angeles and graduated from St. George's University with his medical degree. He completed his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at SUNY Upstate University Medical Center.

When not in the office, Dr. Liu enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with family, and playing sports.

I’ve been with Dr Liu for quite some time. He was the Dr. who has listened, cared, and asked questions. He brought me into “the fold” of UCLA healthcare. I could not ask for a more compassionate doctor thsn Dr. Liu.

Dr. Eric Liu is one of my absolute favorite doctors. On occasion I have said that I adore him publicly. (Not in the wrong way.) The reason I think Dr. Eric Liu is fantastic is that he has created a healing environment. I credit much of my healing success to him. He is brilliant, calm, kind, considerate, professional, and proactive. Dr. Liu knows who I am. He treats me as an entire being not a body part. When I have an appointment with him, he is always looking for ways he can help me. I know I am a very complicated case, and he never makes me feel that way. He’s the BEST!
