About
Dr. Emily Chang is an Integrative Medicine fellow and clinical instructor at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University, majoring in Ethnic Studies and Health and Human Biology. Emily earned her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she was first introduced to East-West Medicine. Her exposure to Traditional Chinese Medicine and therapies such as trigger point injections and acupuncture profoundly influenced her approach to treating complex medical conditions and chronic pain.
Emily completed her residency at UCLA in the Internal Medicine VA/Santa Monica Primary Care Track. During her residency, she deepened her interest in East-West Medicine and participated in a global health elective in Thailand, where she studied the principles of Thai Traditional Medicine.
Passionate about making integrative medicine more accessible, Emily is dedicated to developing community partnerships and expanding the reach of holistic healthcare. She aims to bridge the gap between conventional and alternative medicine in primary care, ensuring that comprehensive, patient-centered care is available to all. Outside of medicine, Emily enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family & friends.
