David J. Schneider, MD

A Southern California native, Dr. Schneider was born in Orange and grew up in Riverside, California. After high school he moved to New York City to train at the School of American Ballet prior to joining the Pacific Northwest Ballet company in Seattle as a member of the Corps de Ballet. After retiring from professional ballet he completed his undergraduate studies at Seattle University. He then worked as a research scientist at the University of Washington, where he also obtained his medical degree. Dr. Schneider completed a Pediatric residency at New York University and subsequently joined the fellowship program in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Prior to joining UCLA Health, he worked as a General Pediatrician at a private practice in South Orange County and at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington.

As a Pediatrician, Dr. Schneider enjoys caring for children of all ages and the strong relationships that he is able to cultivate with them and their families. His goal is to help parents to keep their kids healthy and safe, while helping kids grow and develop from newborns into thriving and accomplished young adults. Personally, Dr. Schneider’s interests include the arts, travel, hiking, getting reacquainted with the beaches of Southern California, and spending time with friends and family.
