About
Dr. Thordarson earned her B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA in 2012 and her M.D. from Rush Medical College in 2018. She subsequently completed her neurology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in Movement Disorders at UCLA. She joined the UCLA faculty in 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Neurology.
Although trained in the evaluation and management of a broad range of movement disorders, she has a particular interest in Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple System Atrophy, and Botulinum toxin treatment for dystonia and other movement disorders. She is also involved in clinical research in Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple System Atrophy, with a focus on improving access to clinical trials and increasing participation among underrepresented populations.
Dr. Thordarson sees patients in the UCLA Calabasas clinic and is committed to expanding access to subspecialty movement disorders care and research opportunities for patients throughout Southern and Central California.
Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
