About
Dr. Daniel Frochtzwajg is a board-certified Family Medicine physician practicing in Malibu. He is extremely passionate about his work as a family doctor and honestly cannot imagine doing anything else so fulfilling. Dr. Frochtzwajg was born and raised in Ventura, CA, where he currently resides. During his undergraduate coursework, he participated in nano-physics research at the Postma Laboratory at CSUN. He first became a published scientific author for my research there.
Following his undergraduate career, he applied to medical school and, while awaiting admission, worked as an emergency room scribe. The subsequent year he was admitted to medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, located in the norther San Francisco bay. He completed 2 years of didactic medical education here and then completed his clinical years at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Community Memorial Hospital of Ventura. Following medical school, he matched at a family medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital of St. Louis, MO.
In addition to his hospital, he worked at a remote, and very rural, ambulatory clinic; this has certainly helped to bolster his ability to work in low resource settings and with a variety of patient and esoteric pathologies. Upon completion of residency, he did some locums work prior to starting as a float Immediate Care physician for UCLA Health.
When not working, he likes to relax and dive into hobbies such as backpacking, rock climbing, snowboarding, fly fishing and enjoys sharing his hobbies with his son.
