Patient Care Compliments

  • Can't thank him and his staff enough for treating me like a normal human being. I am a transgender man who lives in Las Vegas, NV. Due to the lack of culturally competent care in my city, I searched for gender affirming doctors in Los Angeles and was referred to Dr. Douglas. From our first interaction to our last follow-up, Dr. Douglas was compassionate, knowledgeable, and gave me dignity and agency regarding my care. Unlike the many other negative experiences I've had, we collaborated on my plan for my hysterectomy. He clearly provided all my options and informed me of things that are still not well-understood (such as the long-term effects of salpingo-oophorectomy on heart and bone health), while allowing me to make an informed decision based on our discussions and empirical data. I feel lucky and honored to be one of his patients, given his special interest in transgender health. Thank you for everything, Dr. Douglas and UCLA!
  • Unmatched care and concern. The doctor is spectacular in every way! I am beyond grateful for the care he/his team have provided. Menopause is not the most emotionally or physically uneventful season in life but its challenges have been less distressing thanks to this doctor. Thank you!
  • Dr. Douglas took exceptional care of me throughout my pregnancy and truly made the journey feel special. He was always willing to listen, took the time to understand any concerns, and his calm demeanor put me at ease every step of the way. I’m so grateful I found him—he is truly outstanding at what he does.
