Christina T. Gentile, PsyD

Dr. Gentile is a board certified clinical health psychologist with specialization in digestive diseases. She attended Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois and graduated summa cum laude with a double major in nutrition-dietetics and psychology. Dr. Gentile earned her masters of arts and doctorate in psychology from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She completed her clinical health psychology fellowship at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California where she received advanced training in the areas of gastroenterology, oncology, and cardiac rehabilitation.

Dr. Gentile joined the UCLA Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases in 2019 to develop the integrated GI health psychology program and provide treatment for patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and celiac disease. She uses a biopsychosocial approach, emphasizing the influence of medical and psychological factors, when working with patients to support whole-person wellness, enhance coping, and improve quality of life.

Dr. Gentile is a member of the Rome PsychoGastroenterology Group, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, and the Society for Health Psychology. She achieved specialty board certification in Clinical Health Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and is credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
