About
Dr. Charis Bush is a board-certified Family Medicine physician providing primary care in Montecito. She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, continuous care for patients of all ages, with a special emphasis on women’s health and preventive medicine.
Dr. Bush earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University, where she graduated at the top of her class, was awarded the Mutual Insurance Company of Arizona Award for being ranked among the top three students academically, and was inducted into Sigma Sigma Phi, the national medical honor society recognizing academic excellence and leadership. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Mercy Medical Center, where she was honored as Intern of the Year and later served as Chief Resident. In addition, she received the Spirit of the Medical Safe Haven Award for her work caring for patients who have experienced human trafficking, reflecting her dedication to compassionate, trauma-informed care.
She completed her undergraduate studies in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. Originally from Southern Oregon, Dr. Bush is delighted to return to Santa Barbara, where her family now resides.
Outside of her medical practice, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, cooking, and gardening.
